Colorado PERA is constantly working to ensure member accounts are as secure as possible. That’s why starting on June 6, when you log into your PERA account, you will be prompted to enroll in multifactor authentication.
All PERA members and retirees will be required to enroll in multifactor authentication in order to access their PERA accounts. If you had previously enrolled in PERA's multifactor authentication feature, you will need to re-enroll.
With multifactor authentication, you’ll access your information online using not only your User ID and password, but also a security code sent to your home or mobile phone. The goal of multifactor authentication is to create a layered defense, making it more difficult for an unauthorized person to access your account information.
To complete this security enhancement, PERA's website will be unavailable beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5, through noon on Saturday, June 6.
